Isibindi appoints new Sales Representative

Kelly Coates, Isibindi Africa Lodges Sales Representative

Isibindi Africa Lodges has announced the appointment of Kelly Coates as Sales Representative. Coates has a background in lodge operations, having previously worked at Savanna Lodge and The Dulini Collection. She joined Isibindi in March 2023, most recently serving as Operations Assistant at the group’s head office, overseeing procurement, logistics and lodge styling.

“Working in various roles within this sector has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of each department’s functions,” said Coates. “Managing warehouse logistics and styling at the lodges allowed me to gain practical insight into the day-to-day operations and deepened my appreciation for the unique attributes of each property.”

ATTA announces new Memberships and Marketing Executive

Pule Cornei Mmola, ATTA Memberships and Marketing Executive

The African Travel and Tourism Association (ATTA) has appointed Pule Cornei Mmola as Memberships and Marketing Executive. Mmola previously served as Tourism Executive Assistant at SA Tourism’s head office, supporting regional general managers responsible for core international markets.

“We are excited to welcome Pule to the ATTA team,” said Kgomotso Ramothea, CEO for Memberships at ATTA. “He brings creativity, fresh energy and a new perspective that will contribute significantly to supporting our growing membership.”

Mmola also brings luxury hospitality experience from his time as Guest Service Manager at Coworth Park (Dorchester Collection) and as a Concierge Professional at The NoMad Hotel London. He holds a BTech and National Diploma in Tourism Management from Vaal University of Technology.

UK-based Ambitions Travel & Hospitality Recruitment has launched a luxury hospitality division. The company has appointed Zhané Frankson as Luxury Hospitality Talent Specialist to lead the new division from Cape Town.

Frankson has over eight years of experience in luxury operations and was the youngest female manager in the Newmark Group before transitioning to recruitment.

“We didn’t set out to enter luxury hospitality, our tour operator clients literally opened these doors for us because they trusted our ability to find exceptional talent,” said Fi Morrison-Arnthal, Founder and MD of Ambitions Travel Recruitment and Training.

Emirates has announced strategic commercial team appointments to increase the airline’s commercial and operational footprint and improve its presence in key markets.

Omar Bushlaibi, Emirates Country Manager: Zambia, will also become interim Country Manager for Zimbabwe, effective August 1. The former Emirates Country Manager: Zimbabwe, Talal Al Gergawi, will take on a new role as Emirates Country Manager: Bangladesh.
