Riviera on Vaal has signed a long-term lease to manage Maccauvlei on Vaal – formerly known as the Maccauvlei Learning Academy – in the Vaal Triangle. It is currently undergoing renovations, and is set to re-launch in March.
"Over the past 10 years we have gained a lot of insight into our market's needs at Riviera on Vaal and, with our hands-on business management approach and the use of existing marketing platforms, it will prove to be beneficial to Maccauvlei on Vaal and for promoting tourism in our region in general,” said Melanie van der Merwe, MD of Riviera on Vaal Hotel & Country Club and Maccauvlei on Vaal.
Van der Merwe said Maccauvlei aimed to rank well among accommodation establishments in the Emfuleni district. She added that the property’s revival would cater for both leisure and corporate markets.
