ROVOS Rail is offering two new journeys on board its Pride of Africa steam and luxury train set from Pretoria to Port Elizabeth and from Victoria Falls to Pretoria. The Pretoria to PE route, available from April 12 to 15, is a three-night, four-day journey with en-route stops at Bloemfontein for a historical city tour and a game drive at Addo Elephant Park. There are 29 Pullman suites available from R18 285pp sharing and six deluxe suites from R22 850pp sharing. The Victoria Falls to Pretoria journey is available from May 3 to 8. En- route stops include sundowners at the Hwange Game Reserve in Zimbabwe and a guided tour and game drive in Polokwane. Costs are from R24 995pp sharing in the deluxe suites and R19 995 in the Pullman suites. Both journeys are entirely steam haulage and are aimed at interested preservation societies and steam heritage groups. All prices include accommodation, meals, drinks and off-train excursions.
