Sekunjalo aiming to boost enterprise development

SEKUNJALO Investments Limited has acquired a controlling stake in the Tripos Travel Group’s South African operating company. The deal will link Sekunjalo to espAfrika, owners of the popular Cape Town International Jazz Festival.

Tripos, established in the 1970s, will continue to be managed under the guidance of Lyndon Burt and Gilles Cristini. Together with Sekunjalo, Tripos will have the backing to target quality acquisitions and meet growth targets.

“The travel industry has been through something of a shake-up in recent years. Those companies that have adapted to the new demands of the market place, are most likely more efficient and more profitable than they have ever been,” said Burt. “Now that the dust has settled and our shop is in order, we are poised to grow our client base aggressively.  We are delighted that Sekunjalo is the partner to help us do this.  It was always our intention to find a top-drawer BEE company to partner with and, with Sekunjalo, we feel we have hit the jackpot.”
