FAMILIES wanting to record their wildlife encounter of a lifetime can do so with Shamwari’s new Safaricam experience.
Guests will be filmed while enjoying their safari in a private 4x4 Land Rover with their own ranger and professional cameraman for their personal wildlife documentary.
The film footage will then be edited into a 30- to 40-minute broadcast-quality DVD with high-quality music and graphics. The recorded experience is at an additional cost, from £850 (R11 192) for a one- to two-night stay, and £200 (R2 633) for each additional night.
Visitors will also get the opportunity to meet and work with Lyndal Davies of A Wild Life fame.
Lyndal has presented and directed over 40 hours of wildlife programming for Animal Planet.
She has now settled at Shamwari where she has created the Safaricam concept. Lyndal oversees the filming and editing of each DVD, guaranteeing a high-quality, action-packed and entertaining programme.
