Skywise has been suspended from operating at Acsa airports, the airports company confirmed today.
In a statement, Acsa said Skywise had been suspended with immediate effect due to unpaid airport landing and take-off charges, parking of aircraft and related service charges.
“The suspension shall be withdrawn as soon as Skywise airline has made appropriate payments in accordance with the Airport Charges Regulations,” Acsa said.
Commenting on the situation, June Crawford, CEO of the Board of Airline Representatives of South Africa (BARSA) said: “Even before starting new operations, all airlines are aware of the terms and conditions of payment for services provided by ACSA and ATNS. In fact all airlines agree to these conditions.”
“I do not believe exceptions can be made,” she said.
