Southern Sun Pietermaritzburg in KwaZulu Natal, now part of the Golden Horse Casino complex and Tsogo Sun stable, has undergone an extensive renovation.
The refurbishment included the installation of free WiFi, a new business centre and entrance and upgrades to the rooms. Each room has been equipped with a mini bar fridge and a safe. The conference centre has also undergone minor changes.
A new restaurant and coffee shop, Vigour& Verve, has been added. The 110-seat restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, daily from 06h30 to 23h00.
“A refreshed, cosmopolitan experience awaits guests at our hotel, with a new look and feel, a new welcoming and convenient restaurant, and all the modern amenities that business and leisure visitors expect from a four-star hotel,” said Arisha Stanley, GM of the Golden Horse Hotel.
The property’s two conference venues can cater for up to 500 delegates.
