For those of you who haven’t heard, Tourism Update launched a new-look website with several exciting changes on December 10, 2012.
Changes include a new giant banner that now appears on every page. It has been devised for suppliers that have announcements and launches. It does not pop up over the text yet is big enough to make a huge impact on readers. With limited availability, suppliers planning a launch should reserve the space early. Bookings made up to January 22 for later in the year qualify for a 20% introductory discount.
A new, user-friendly commenting software has also been introduced with all the features you’ve been requesting:
• Automatic notification when readers reply to your comments;
• Edit comments after sending them;
• You can ‘vote up’ or ‘vote down’ comments depending on whether you agree with them or not;
• You can also link your comment to social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook;
• Subscribe to receive emails with all comments on stories you’re interested in;
• Flag defamatory comments;
• Easy access to Tourism Update’s top discussions by clicking on the ‘community’ tab.
To take advantage of the full list of benefits it is recommended you register with disqus – you can do this in less than a minute by ticking the ‘register with disqus’ box when adding a comment on a news story or directly via the disqus website (http://disqus.com/profile/signup/) where you will need to enter a username, email address, and password.
