The Mantis Collection has launched an incentive competition for South African booking agents, and the prize is a trip for two to Antarctica worth R600 000 (€37 000).
As the travel trade tally up year-end goals, the Mantis Group has thrown down a gauntlet to inspire booking agents as they look to set goals for 2020.
#JustGo with Mantis was launched in October 2019 and is a nationwide competition open to all South African travel and trade partners with contracted rates at Mantis. If you don’t have a contract with Mantis yet, click here to apply.
Agents must have a minimum of 60 room nights booked at the Mantis uMfolozi Lodges in the uMfolozi Big Five Game Reserve in KwaZulu Natal to participate. Room nights that are confirmed and paid for by December 31, 2020 will qualify agents for an opportunity to win a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Antarctica for two people. Mantis Biyela Lodge and Mantis Mthembu Lodge are in the private uMfolozi Big Five Reserve which is a 6000-hectare concession attached to the acclaimed Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park. Fences between the oldest proclaimed wilderness in Africa and the new concession went down a few months ago, and wildlife is flowing easily into their newly gained territories.
Biyela Lodge is a modern lodge that cascades down a steep embankment of the White Imfolozi River overlooking a lagoon where elephants, wild dogs and lions are often spotted. Spacious suites have private pools, day beds, and sprawling decks. Airy social spaces include lounges, a dining room, spa, and bar by the fire pit.
Mthembu Lodge is upriver, at eye-level with the river where crocodiles and hippos rule the waters. This is an intimate lodge perfect for families, and is located on the exact site where Dr Ian Player stabled the patrol horses for Operation Rhino. Mthembu Lodge is also within the footprint of one of the oldest anti-poaching quarters in the area. Competition is open to local DMCs, travel agents, corporates & Professional Conference Organisers. Cannot be redeemed for cash and it is non-transferable. Minimum requirement of 60 room nights or more to be eligible. The more nights you book, the higher your chance of winning. Only redeemable once the final invoice has been paid.
