TOURVEST Inbound Operations has launched its live business-to-business online booking system, Dynamic Product Catalogue.
Director of TIO Solutions, Dieter Holle, says the product is the most comprehensive, live, one-stop-shop for agents working with TIO.
The portal is a live version of the existing Full Destination Management Manual, until now the company standard for rate publication, which was Excel based. The new catalogue, being online and live, is updatable by TIO, and is therefore always current and relevant. As prices, availability and facilities change, they are reflected almost immediately.
Says Dieter: “Agents will log into the search engine, which is password protected, and be able to search to a far greater degree for information relating to rates, availability, as well as destination and product information. For example, previously agents may only have been able to search for ‘Johannesburg’, the search criteria can now be narrowed to ‘Sandton’ or even ‘spa’. Agents will also be able to check prices for the whole year, not just the period they are searching for.”
The system can be tailor-made by agents to serve their specific purpose and needs. Of the thousands of products on TIO books, an agent can now set up a ‘favourites list’ and mark property or product of what they intend to sell and work with in future.
The agent can then produce a rates catalogue, along with facilities, images, and all other information relating to these products, including contact details.
Changes, Dieter notes, are reflected on the agent’s log-in page every day. He or she can also search for any rate changes since a specified date.
