Matetsi River Lodge and Matetsi River House from &Beyond, will open in August in the Matetsi Private Game Reserve, Zimbabwe.
Matetsi River Lodge will open nine suites and its main guest areas on August 1.
The remaining nine suites will be available from September 1.
The lodge has two intimate camps, each with nine river-facing suites, including two family suites.
Each camp features its own guest area with a variety of dining spaces, a kitchen, a bar area and an open area that encircles an open fire.
The en-suite bathrooms have indoor and outdoor showers as well as a deep circular bath, which looks out over the Zambezi. Each suite has a private veranda with a plunge pool and sitting area overlooking the river.
Matetsi River House will be ready to welcome families and small groups from August 15.
The private villa has four bedrooms, making it ideal for multigenerational travel. Two of the rooms have en-suite bathrooms and the other two are inter-leading children’s rooms with an en-suite bathroom.
Matetsi River House has its own kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining areas, a veranda overlooking the Zambezi and a sparkling pool. It also comes with a complement of staff, including a dedicated guide, private vehicle, chef and butler.
Other facilities at the reserve are a safari shop, fitness centre, massage sala, rim-flow swimming pool and an exclusive wine cellar. Activities include birdwatching, bungee jumping off the Victoria Falls Bridge, fishing and horseback safaris.
