Africa Rally gears up for 2026

The Africa Rally 2026 – a 5 000km, three-week road trip across sub-Saharan Africa – is set to begin on July 3.

Departing from Hartbeespoort to Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi and Tanzania, 50 vehicles of all shapes and sizes will participate.

“Teams are crossing some of the most amazing and welcoming countries in Africa,” Paul Clayton, The Africa Rally Director, told Tourism Update. “Although it’s fantastic to have such diverse groups representing over 16 countries, we’d love to have more teams from South Africa. This is an official call to the overlanders, tourism industry professionals, press and travellers from South Africa to get involved next year!”
