AIR Mauritius has introduced a new baggage policy on all Air Mauritius flights, effective immediately.
• Economy-class passengers will be allowed 25kg checked baggage (23kg plus tolerance of 2kg). Business-class passengers will be allowed 32kg checked baggage (30kg plus tolerance of 2kg), except on the RRG route where the baggage allowance is 15kg
• Kestrelflyer PLUS card holders will be allowed an additional 8kg on the above-mentioned allowance and Kestrelflyer ELITE card holders will be allowed an additional 12kg on the above-mentioned allowance.
• Sports equipment, including golf bags, skis, snowboards and diving equipment, can be included as part of the normal 25kg baggage allowance and pay for any excess at the applicable rate. Alternatively, should a passenger decide to carry these outside the baggage allowance a flat fee of €20 (R245) will apply, subject to a weight limit of 20kg.
• Bicycles, windsurfing and kitesurfing boards cannot be included as part of the normal baggage allowance and will be charged within a 20kg limit at a flat fee of €20 (R245) per trip each way. If the item is heavier than 20kg, the passenger will be charged for each additional kilogram at the standard excess baggage rate.
