Bookings have opened for Houston Travel Marketing’s Spotlight on Africa Nordic Seashow.
The show will takes place in Finland and Sweden from November 11-14 and follows on the heels of the World Travel Market in London.
According to Houston Travel Marketing, the four Nordics countries, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland, collectively form probably the fourth-largest European source market for African countries with close to 100 000 visiting South Africa in 2012. Sweden was the biggest source market for Southern and Eastern Africa.
The company said the workshop provided an opportunity to meet with most of the major wholesalers and tour operators in Finland and Sweden. This is the sixth year the Seashow is being held and last year’s event was attended by 204 outbound tour operators, incentive travel companies, travel agents and travel media.
Ten exhibitors representing Seychelles, South Africa, Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia, Zanzibar and Madagascar have been confirmed for the 2013 Seashow.
Exhibition tables cost €2 900 (R38 591) and accommodation €450 (R5 988).
