Southern Africa 360 Exclusive Tours, based in Cape Town, Western Cape, launched a wheels division on June 1, specialising in luxury vehicles available for transfers and tours.
Managing Director of the group, Collin Thaver, said: “This is our wheels division to the business, born from the need to have greater control over service levels, to offer our clients competitive pricing and to strengthen our brand awareness.”
The family-owned and -managed tourism business now operates a small fleet of luxury vehicles within Cape Town and the Western Cape, down to Port Elizabeth, offering clients a personalised service. The aim is to ensure that VIP and five-star clients receive the same level of service they would at five-star properties when being transferred or taken on a tour.
Included in the current fleet is a Mercedes Benz C-Class, fitting two to three passengers, the Hyundai Tucson for two to four passengers, a Toyota Fortuner accommodating three to four passengers, a Hyundai H1 for larger groups of five to seven, and a Toyota Quantum which fits eight to 12 guests.
On offer are scheduled and private tours, including both day trips and overland tours, as well as vehicle charter services. The offering provides extra space and comfort for customers, coupled with knowledgeable and experienced local guides.
The Cape Town city tour has a cultural/nature guide who takes guests on a hike up Table Mountain then to a local Malay family in the Bo-Kaap for lunch, before sharing the British, Dutch and African influences that changed the landscape of the city.
