THE first cheetah cubs since the animals were introduced to the park have been born in Mountain Zebra National Park.
Park rangers spotted four cubs with their two-year-old mother in the Kranskop area of the park, and estimated that they were about six weeks old. Another four cubs, around four weeks old, born to the another female cheetah in the park were spotted a few days later.
Two male and two female cheetah were released in the park in May last year.
