Fresh look for Oude Werf Hotel

Oude Werf Hotel in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, will undergo the final stage of a multimillion-rand renovation that will see the hotel close for May, June and July. The hotel will remain open until April 30 and from August 1 as work taking place during these periods will not affect guests.

GM, Elanie Fourie, said the planning for the make-over had evolved over the past five years. “We are really excited about Oude Werf’s facelift; it’s a great opportunity to remain current in an ever-changing hospitality environment.”

Between April and October the hotel will add 13 rooms, bringing the total number of rooms to 62. A number of the hotel’s classic rooms will also be upgraded. The hotel’s kitchen will also be extended and an elevator will be installed in the main hotel foyer.

A lounge and bar as well as rebranded the urban-chic Liefde Bistro have been added.

The revamp is set to be completed by the end of October.
