MILES Paul, astronomer and retired biologist, recently discovered a new gecko species during his visit to CC Africa’s Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge in Namibia. The new species joins several other desert-adapted wildlife and can be spotted at the lodge. Overlooking the Namib Desert, the lodge consists of 10 stone and glass desert villas. Guests can explore the area in open 4x4 safari vechicles, quad-bikes and walking trails as well as enjoy hot-air ballooning and trips to the Sossusvlei sand dunes and Sesriem Canyon.
