LESOTHO Sun Hotel in Maseru, is undergoing phase one of its three-phase refurbishment project.
In the first phase, 78 guest rooms are being refurbished and a new gaming floor is being built with new slots and tables. Meanwhile, gaming activities will be provided at the Maseru Sun Hotel and Casino with a shuttle service provided between the two hotels. Dining and entertainment areas will be enhanced with a coffee shop and bar areas.
The main entrance to the hotel, the reception area, the guest lounge, the bar and Lehala Grill Restaurant entrance have been closed.
Accommodation will still be available and meals will be served at the hotel’s Lehala Grill Restaurant. The gym remains open.
Other areas that will be closed temporarily include the Nala Coffee Shop, Hotsoma Bar and Leifo Lounge.
Sun International will spend M 140m on the refurbishment project with completion due in November.
The two remaining phases will entail a further refurbishment of 83 guest rooms, as well as providing state-of-the-art banqueting facilities.
