Discover Airlines, a subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group, has announced the launch of a new non-stop route from Frankfurt to the Seychelles, set to begin on October 26. The airline will operate two weekly flights, on Tuesdays and Sundays, marking a significant increase in direct air access from Germany to the Indian Ocean archipelago.
Flights will depart from Frankfurt at 21h55 and arrive in Mahé at 10h45 the following morning. Return flights will also operate as night services. The airline stated that the new route will improve overall connectivity to the Seychelles and strengthen the Lufthansa Group’s presence in the region.
The new Seychelles route also enables onward travel to Mauritius. Discover Airlines has adjusted its flight schedule to Mauritius, shifting arrivals from early morning to midday and return flights from daytime to overnight. An additional direct Frankfurt-Mauritius flight is being added for the 2025/6 winter season to accommodate increased demand and provide greater schedule flexibility.
While Edelweiss currently operates flights to the Seychelles from Zurich, this will be the first route to the archipelago offered by a Lufthansa Group airline out of Germany.
