THE MOUNT Grace Country House & Spa in Magaliesburg has been sold to Grapnel’s Hospitality Property Fund. The hotel was established in 1982 by the Brand family and won several awards during its existence including the Best Hotel in Africa, the Indian Ocean and Middle East in 2004. The Brand family will continue managing Mount Grace for the foreseeable future. The family will also retain control of the ‘Grace’ brand and continue to pursue similar interests both locally and abroad. Grapnel’s purchase of the hotel is in line with its plan to acquire a selection of three-, four- and five-star properties to form a specialised hospitality portfolio.
