Kenya risks outpricing itself

Following the news that Kenya Wildlife Service has proposed a 50-60% increase in park entry fees, Tourism Update asked readers whether they believe the country risks becoming too expensive for international tourists.

The vast majority of respondents (93.4%) said Kenya is at risk of outpricing itself as a destination while just 3.3% said there is no risk and 3.3% are unsure.

The bidding process to find a host city and venue for Africa’s Travel Indaba from 2026-2030 closed at the end of March. While we await the final decision, we would like to know where you would like to see the tradeshow take place.
