New Artistic Director for Zeitz MOCAA
The Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA) has appointed Elvira Dyangani Ose as its new Artistic Director. She previously served as Director of Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona and The Showroom in London and has held curatorial roles at Tate Modern and Creative Time in New York. She is currently Artistic Director of the second Public Art Abu Dhabi Biennial in 2026 to 2027.
Aleph Hospitality recruits Rob Kucera
Rob Kucera has been appointed Regional Vice President for East and South Africa at Aleph Hospitality. He will oversee 25 hotels and six brands across 20 destinations. With more than 20 years’ experience in hospitality management, Kucera previously served as Complex General Manager and District Director for East Africa at Radisson Hotel Group.
Selma Simaneka Benyameni rejoins Wolwedans
Selma Simaneka Benyameni has been appointed Executive Hospitality Manager at Wolwedans. She returns to the company where she began her career as a trainee in the Wolwedans Desert Academy in 2007. Benyameni brings a wealth of experience from Wilderness and the Ongula Village Homestead Lodge.
Zambia Airways names new CEO
Amu Wole Gurma is the new CEO of Zambia Airways after nearly two decades at Ethiopian Airlines Group. In his 19-year career, he has worked in airline leadership, commercial strategy and market development.
