Newmark announces new Mauritius appointments
Newmark Hotels & Reserves has announced several leadership appointments within its Mauritius portfolio. Following a strategic decision to streamline operations across its two Mauritian properties, Mystik Lifestyle Boutique Hotel and La Maison d’Été, the group has introduced leadership roles to oversee both hotels.
Avischal Jugdeo has been appointed as Cluster General Manager, overseeing both properties.
Speaking on the appointment, Jugdeo said: “It is a privilege to step into this role and to lead such an exceptional team across Mystik and La Maison d’Été. Our focus is on delivering warm, memorable experiences that reflect the spirit of Mauritius and the standards of Newmark. I look forward to working alongside my colleagues to strengthen our presence locally while showcasing our properties to the global market.”
Ridiksha Maharaj has been appointed Cluster Food & Beverage Manager, leading the culinary and dining experiences across both properties.
These appointments are complemented by additional cluster leadership roles, including:
- Shakeel Ramjan as Newmark Hotels & Resorts Mauritius Cluster Sales Manager
- Cindrella Louis as Newmark Hotels & Resorts Mauritius Cluster HR Manager
- Kirtika Peeroo as Newmark Hotels & Resorts Mauritius Cluster Reservations Manager
Airlines Association of Southern Africa elects chair
The Airlines Association of Southern Africa (AASA) has elected its incoming Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson, who will serve for the next 12 months, at the body’s 55th annual general meeting.
Daniel Rosenzweig, Senior Executive at Lift, has been re-elected as AASA’s Chairperson.
Eswatini Air CEO President Dhlamini has been elected as AASA’s Deputy Chair.
“Daniel and President will provide guidance and support to AASA in our ongoing engagements with governments, aviation regulators, airport operators, air navigation service providers and other relevant role players in our advocacy work. Our goal is that policy, regulations, services and aviation infrastructure support and promote competitive, financially viable and environmentally sustainable, secure and safe air transport with comprehensive intra-African connectivity,” said AASA CEO Aaron Munetsi.
