The Association for Promotion of Tourism to Africa (Apta) has announced its new executive board, effective from August 1. The newly elected directors are, Todd Neuman, Executive Vice President: The Americas at SAA; Tracy Anderson, Manager at Carefree Vacations; and Kiki Paris, Owner and Founder of Wanderlust Portfolio.
For the first time, there was a tie with two nominees, and since two board members’ terms expire in 2018, Apta decided to offer both candidates a seat on the board.
The Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront in Cape Town, Western Cape, has appointed Marnie Delaney-Parker the new Director of Sales and Marketing.
Delaney-Parker has 20 years of experience in the tourism and hospitality industry, with a specialisation in sales and marketing. He worked at Anantara Hotels and Resorts in Thailand, as well as various groups in Italy and Croatia, focusing on market segmentation.
World Leisure Holidays for Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has appointed Roxanna Mac Gregor as key account manager. She will be responsible for all the hotel brands within the Shangri-La portfolio and will be based in the Johannesburg offices.
Eluan Rabe has been appointed General Manager for the Menlyn Boutique in Pretoria. She has been tasked with taking care of all aspects of the hotel, from greeting visitors, to ensuring every guest is satisfied with the hotel and its service.
Rabe has more than 14 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, having worked at Seasons in Africa and Orion Hotels and Resorts. She also oversaw the operation of the De Graaff Grassland Bushman Lodge in Botswana.
