Wilderness Safaris' Map Ives has been appointed as Botswana’s National Rhino Coordinator by the country’s Minister of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism, Tshekedi Khama.
Ives is the founder and former chair of the Botswana Rhino Management Committee and was also active in the development of the Okavango Delta Management Plan. He is the current chair of the Moremi Game Reserve Management Committee.

Tourvest has appointed Ken Hill as the MD of its Drifters overland safari business, replacing founder Andy Dott. Hill was previously in charge of the sales and marketing department for Drifters for more than 20 years.

Micaela Newton has been appointed as the Brand Ambassador of the International Hotel School’s Cape Town Campus. Newton matriculated at the Wartburg Kirchdorf School in Kwa-Zulu Natal and made her way onto the campus by winning The Cape Town International Hotel School’s Bursary Competition. “I will fulfill this responsibility to the best of my ability,” says Newton.
