‘Plane’ guy accidentally lands VIP flight

When a flight is cancelled, passengers are usually treated to a curt announcement and an option to rebook, but this man was given the added bonus of an entire flight all to himself.

Vincent Peone, a 35-year-old New York-based director, returned to board a completely empty aircraft after an earlier scheduled flight from Pitkin County Airport was cancelled.

He was welcomed with a personal announcement from the gate staff – “Will the only passenger on this flight kindly board at this time, Mr. Peone?”

Vincent was also allowed to meet the pilot for a firm greeting and given the full safety demonstration in a plane filled by nothing but empty rows.

A viral video documenting everything accompanied by an accurate caption summarised how “@Delta gave [him his] own private jet...kind of.”

While Delta says on a rare occasion it would offer passengers their own private flight, unfortunately in this case the plane never took off.

Vincent tweeted that, due to mechanical problems before departure he was rescheduled to the following morning. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is!
