PLANHOTEL Resorts and Hotels currently operates two properties in Zanzibar, Gemma Dell’Est and Mapenzi Beach Club, with a third, Dream of Zanzibar, due to open in December.
Planhotel sees Zanzibar as a great investment, said Julia Ashby, director of sales and marketing Planhotel Resorts and Hotels.
It follows the all-inclusive model for its properties, and this, says Ashby, has proved very popular. Dream of Zanzibar will also be an all-inclusive property.
Dream of Zanzibar, like its sister resort, Gemma Dell’Est, will be five-star and will offer guest services that include a 24-hour reception and concierge service, currency exchange, Internet access, laundry and valet service and more.
As part of the all-inclusive package guests will have a choice of dining at several restaurants on the property including Asian, seafood and Italian options, or they can enjoy a beach-style buffet with different entertainment each night.
