In the last 12 months, the Radisson Hotel Group has signed over 15 new hotels, bringing its total in Africa, including its pipeline, to over 100.
Recent signings include:
- South Africa: Radisson Serviced Apartments Umhlanga, scheduled to open in 2029, will offer 155 rooms in studios and apartments. It will be located in a newly built Umhlanga Ridge development within walking distance of Gateway Theatre of Shopping and close to major office precincts.
- Zimbabwe:
- Radisson Serviced Apartments, Harare, scheduled to open at the end of 2028, will include 147-key serviced apartments within a master development in Borrowdale. Planned amenities include a café and bar, gym with sauna and a pool with a deck.
- Park Inn by Radisson Victoria Falls Resort, scheduled to open in 2029, will have 150 rooms, including five suites. The resort, overlooking the Zambezi National Park, will be 22km from Victoria Falls Airport.
- Democratic Republic of the Congo:
- Radisson Blu Hotel, Kinshasa, scheduled to open in late 2026, will offer 110 rooms including suites and a presidential suite. The property is located 32km from N’djili International Airport, 10km from N’Dolo Airport and 6km from Gare Centrale. Facilities include lobby and pool bar, restaurant, gym and massage rooms as well as an events hall with a pre-function area.
- Radisson Hotel Lubumbashi, scheduled to open in mid-2027, will offer 87 rooms including junior suites and a presidential suite. The property is located on Revolution Road Avenue. Facilities include lobby and rooftop bar, dining venue, gym and a swimming pool as well as meeting rooms and pre-function area.
- Radisson Blu Apartments Lubumbashi, scheduled to open in 2030, in an upscale residential area, Quartier Golf, will offer 160 rooms. Facilities include a restaurant and bar, a pool bar and a gym.
- Radisson Airport Hotel Lubumbashi, scheduled to open in 2028, 6km from Luano International Airport, will feature 105 rooms. Planned facilities include a restaurant, lobby and pool bars, meeting rooms and a swimming pool.
Radisson is targeting growth in the South African markets with focus on Cape Town as well as secondary cities, such as Durban and Pretoria, and popular tourist destinations: Kruger National Park, Sun City and the Garden Route.
The group also has plans to enter Zanzibar and is considering lodge, safari and affiliation opportunities in Namibia, Botswana and Zambia.
