SA hosts climate crisis concert

AS part of the global ‘Live Earth’ campaign to combat global warming, South Africa will host a range of local and international acts at Maropeng in the Cradle of Humankind on July 7.

The acts performing at this event include Angelique Kidjo, Joss Stone, The Parlotones, UB40, Vusi Mahlasela and The Soweto Gospel Choir. The host of the concert in Johannesburg will be Naomi Campbell.

Tickets are available through Computicket. The 24-hour Live Earth concert begins in Australia and continues across all seven continents. Organisers of the concerts will be implementing new ‘green event’ guidelines for recycling, packaging, transportation, energy, water usage and the event site itself.
