Southern Sun Book-A-Guesthouse has announced the inclusion of nine new member properties to its portfolio, with four in Johannesburg and five in Cape Town.
With a focus on empowering and developing women within the South African tourism industry, the Book-A-Guesthouse programme now supports a total number of 64 properties across four provinces.
The Johannesburg establishments are as follows: Embali Guesthouse in Kelvin, Mizizi House in Parkmore, Temaswati Guesthouse in Meredale and Zivusekhaya Guesthouse in Gallo Manor. The Cape Town guesthouses are: Datuma, Mbalentle, Ntabozuko and Royal Love Nest, and the Suburban Lodge in Rondebosch East.
All nine properties comply with the programme’s criteria for selection and have been registered in the Southern Sun Book-A-Guesthouse three-year enterprise development model which provides training, capacity building, marketing, tourism and business support. At the end of the three-year period, each guesthouse will graduate into the programme, where they are entitled to remain and continue to receive market access and other business benefits as long as they are compliant.
