Southern Sun has introduced a complimentary shuttle service between six of its Sandton-based hotels and the Gautrain station. The properties are: The Sandton Sun; Intercontinental Johannesburg Sandton Towers; Southern Sun Katherine Street; Garden Court Sandton; Garden Court Sandton City; and Garden Court Morningside.
The Southern Sun-branded vehicle, a Hyundai H1, transfers daily to accommodate high-need periods from 06h00 to 09h00 and 15h20-18h40. Bookings are not necessary as vehicles are available at the station every 20 minutes from the top of the hour. Outside peak times, enquiries can be made directly with any of the hotels’ concierge or guest relation desks, on the day of arrival or departure.
Appropriate contact details are available on the hotel confirmation forms to enable ease of bookings made directly from the airport to the hotel. Bookings can only be made on the day.
Additional benefits include: inter-hotel transfers; access to Sandton City via Sandton Sun for guests staying at any of these hotels; access to restaurants at these hotels; access to Sandton Sun Spa; and access to Sandton Sun banqueting centre and to the Sandton Convention Centre via The Sandton Sun or the InterContinental Sandton Towers.
