Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff Johannesburg has opened its new Destination Lobby and Lobby Lounge, marking the completion of a redevelopment project that began in 2023. The work is the final phase aimed at expanding facilities, strengthening events capacity and creating new guest and visitor spaces.
Regional Vice President and GM Martin Cody said: “The Destination Lobby and Lobby Lounge have been designed as the hotel’s living room: a place where guests are welcomed and immediately feel at home, begin their day with intention and end it with ease, where business meets pleasure and where the energy of Johannesburg finds its reflection in panoramic views across the city.”
Positioned overlooking Forest Town, Saxonwold and Rosebank, the new lobby incorporates a large veranda and the 40-seat Lobby Lounge, which operates as a patisserie and casual dining venue by day and as a bar and cocktail lounge in the evenings. The architectural approach references Johannesburg’s mining history through metallic details, natural stone and textured finishes.
Operational updates include an expanded check-in area, a 100-bay parking facility under the lobby and direct access to the Flames restaurant and the Four Seasons Spa. The Grand Ballroom, which accommodates 400 guests, now has a separate entrance for exclusive functions.
