Thornybush partners with Dischem on vax roll-outs

Last month, Thornybush partnered with retail pharmaceutical company, Dischem, to roll out COVID-19 vaccinations for employees and contractors in the Thornybush and Timbavati regions of the Greater Kruger Conservation area,

This initiative brought ‘vaccines to the people’, an intervention urgently needed to fast-track vaccinating people living in remote areas of our country.

Dischem administered 590 Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccinations over two days in Thornybush and Timbavati.

Before coming to Thornybush and Timbavati, Dischem administered 1 914 vaccines to employees of the businesses located in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve and to members of its neighbouring communities.

Thornybush CEO Andy Payne said: “One of our focuses this year has been to attend to the well-being of our people. This vaccine initiative takes us a long way down this journey of caring for our people. I am extremely thankful to those who got this initiative off the ground. A special mention must go to Gabe Simaan of Eurolab and Melanie Parker, our Head of Operations. I would also like to thank Dischem, for, without them, this would not have been possible.”
