Vic Falls sees new MICE-focused seasonal camp

A new seasonal luxury tented camp has launched on Zimbabwe’s private Jafuta Reserve near Victoria Falls, targeting the international incentive and group travel market.

Victoria Falls Tented Camp, operated by Chiefs Tented Camps in partnership with Shearwater, will operate during the March to September 2026 season.

Located about 15 minutes from Victoria Falls International Airport, the camp is designed as an exclusive-use product for incentive groups, travel organisers and destination management companies.

The camp comprises 40 luxury en-suite canvas tents accommodating up to 80 guests sharing with the option to scale capacity for groups of more than 100 guests.

Activities include guided wildlife viewing, photography experiences, river-edge sundowners, cultural experiences and open-air dining.

Chiefs Tented Camps said the camp was developed with a low-impact design approach and operates off-grid with plans to incorporate solar power over time. Décor and design elements were sourced from Zimbabwean artisans and manufacturers.

Allan Johnston, Chiefs Tented Camps MD, said the concept aims to provide a private group experience close to Victoria Falls.

“What we’ve created at Jafuta is a private canvas camp where groups can come together in one place, in the bush, without compromise, close to the Falls but completely immersed in nature.”

The camp also offers access to routes into Chamabonda and Zambezi National Park through arrangements with ZimParks.
