THE EU has published a list of 92 blacklisted airlines, mostly African, which are now banned from operating in the EU. The list includes 50 airlines from the DRC, 13 from Sierra Leone, 11 from Equatorial Guinea and six from Swaziland. Carriers from Comores, Thailand and Afghanistan were also included in the list. Many of the airlines listed do not fly to Europe, but were included in the list as a preemptive measure. Sue Lewitton (suel@nowmedia.co.za)
