Air Seychelles launches Paris flights

Air Seychelles has launched three weekly non-stop flights between Seychelles International Airport (SEZ) and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). The flights will begin on March 20 for one month and may increase to four weekly flights.

On Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays until March 28:

  • Flight HM1008 will depart from SEZ at 10h00 and arrive at CDG at 17h30
  • Flight HM1007 will depart from CDG at 19h30 and arrive at SEZ at 08h30 the following day

On Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from March 29:

  • Flight HM1008 will depart from SEZ at 09h00 and arrive at CDG at 17h30
  • Flight HM1007 will depart from CDG at 19:30 and arrive at SEZ at 07h30 the following day

The route will be serviced by a Boeing 787-900 Dreamliner through an agreement with Etihad Airways. The aircraft has 290 seats, including 28 Business Class and 262 Economy Class seats.

The airline said the introduction of the route comes at a time when airspace closures in parts of the Middle East have disrupted traditional transit routes through Gulf hubs. “By offering a direct link between Seychelles and Europe, Air Seychelles aims to provide passengers with a reliable and efficient travel alternative during this period of global travel disruption,” said Air Seychelles in a media statement.

Sandy Benoiton, CEO of Air Seychelles, emphasised the connectivity between Seychelles and France. “The introduction of non-stop flights to Paris marks an important milestone for Air Seychelles and for the country’s international connectivity, especially at this time. France has always been a vital market for Seychelles and this service will provide a convenient and comfortable travel option for visitors and Seychellois travellers while supporting the continued growth of our tourism industry.”
