Azura Retreats, owner and manager of luxury boutiques in Mozambique, will be expanding to Tanzania from June.
Azura will be taking over and refurbishing an existing property, Amara Selous at the Selous Game Reserve. The property has 12 tented-suites, each with a private pool and river views.
"We have wanted to expand the number of hotels in our portfolio for some time, building on the success we have had in Mozambique. We are very excited to be starting operations in Tanzania," said Christopher Bettany, MD of Azura.
Bettany added that Azura planned to open two more beach hotels in Tanzania and another safari product in Zimbabwe. "We expect to release news of our second Tanzanian project shortly."
