The Diar Group has announced the development of two mixed-use residential and hospitality properties on Kenya’s coastline: Diani Beach Residences and Oceara Residences. Both properties will be branded CityBlue Hotels.
The group will partner with Staroot Real Estate in the development and management of Diani Beach Residences. Oceara Residences is secured through a deal with Sands of Darakasi Resort.
Diani Beach Residences is on over two hectares offering 400 to 500 one-bedroom and two-bedroom units.
Oceara Residences offers around two hectares of beachfront property in Watamu with more than 200 units including studios as well as one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments.
The properties are designed to be lifestyle destinations with luxury communal spaces such as swimming pools, a fitness centre, spa facilities and restaurants.
Diani Beach Residences also includes conference and meeting spaces as well as children’s recreational areas and padel courts. Oceara Residences will have a beach club.

Development of Oceara Residences is currently underway and is expected to be completed in the last quarter of 2029.
