NAKHEEL, the property development arm of Dubai World, (the holding company of Istithmar, which is part of the consortium which has bought the V&A Waterfront) has ambitious development plans for the Cape Town property. These include: * A cruise terminal; * A 1 000-room resort hotel, sea-facing, opposite TheTable Bay (Greenpoint side) similar to Jumeirah Beach Hotel; * A 250-room Four Seasons Hotel; * A 400-room hotel (either W hotel or Four Seasons) near the clock tower; * One & Only hotel in basin behind aquarium; *Development of a ‘Grand Avenue’ linking the 2010 football stadium in Greenpoint with the V&A Waterfront; *An office development at a site close to City Lodge as the ‘gateway’ to V&A.
