Cresta Hotels has fired its Chief Financial Officer, Valentine Mganga, regarding “irregularities”.
Mganga together with Managing Director, Tawanda Makaya, was last month served with immediate suspension pending an investigation into alleged missing funds totalling P2.3 million.
Cresta issued a cautionary statement last month about the immediate suspension of the duo. Last week, the board issued another statement which dismissed Mganga from work while Makaya remains on suspension.
The Board has commissioned a full investigation and a report has been made to the police.
Segomotso Banda, Group Human Resources Manager declined to provide details. “At the moment we have no further comments on the matter until the complete investigation has been done,” she said.
