MADAME Zingara and Cara Lazuli, two of Cape Town’s most famous restaurants, burnt down in the early hours of this morning. No one was in the building at the time. Owner of both the restaurants, Richard Griffin, says that the reservations department will move all bookings across to other restaurants in the area. Griffin was in the process of opening a new restaurant, the Magic Mirrors tent, originally set to open its doors in March.
