PROTESTERS and security forces have clashed outside parliament in Victoria, Seychelles, and opposition supporters have taken to the streets, breaking windows of government-owned businesses, according to an eTurboNews report. The Seychelles National Party leader, Wavel Ramkalawan, was apparently injured in the clash, and reports claim he has been admitted into the intensive care unit at the Victoria Hospital. Despite this, tourist operations seem to be continuing as normal. Deon Freemantle, Air Seychelles manager for South Africa, says the airline has not experienced any delays or disruptions. The Seychelles Tourist Office was unable to comment at this stage. Sue Lewitton (suel@nowmedia.co.za)
