The City Lodge Hotel Group has closed Courtyard Hotel Cape Town after nearly 20 years of operation, following a decision by the University of Cape Town not to renew the lease on the property.
Clifford Ross, City Lodge Chief Executive, says: “It is sad for us that Courtyard Cape Town is no longer a member of our growing family but we do still have a strong offering for our guests in the greater Cape Town area.”
The group has six other properties in the area – City Lodge Hotel V&A Waterfront, City Lodge Hotel Pinelands, City Lodge Hotel GrandWest, Town Lodge Bellville, Road Lodge N1 City and Road Lodge Cape Town International Airport.
