Desert & Delta safaris has refreshed Xugana Island Lodge in the Okavango Delta.
Stuart Parker, Business Development Manager, confirmed the development to Tourism Update in an interview.
“What we did was move the curio shop and serving area around to create more space and a better open-plan feel inside the dining area,“ says Parker.
The main lounge and dining area were given a facelift, which has brought more light into the lodge. Parker says the changes have created more space for guests to relax between activities while also taking better advantage of the beautiful views from the deck toward the Xugana Lagoon.
Xugana Island Lodge is on the remote Xugana Lagoon in the Okavango Delta. The lodge accommodates 16 guests in eight large, raised, reed and thatch lagoon-facing chalets, with en-suite facilities and private viewing decks, optimally placed on the shaded fringe of the island.
