DIDIMA camp in the Cathedral Peak area in uKhahlamba-Drakensberg Park World Heritage Site has reopened after its closure due to unrest in the region.
The KwaZulu Natal Cabinet has reopened the camp with immediate effect since community safety and liaison MEC Bheki Cele assured the public that tourists to the area were not under threat.
This decision follows a commitment made by local communities to co-operate with authorities.
