Eastern Cape reserve to launch star bed experience

The Milky Way star bed overlooks the wildlife and river in Samara Private Game Reserve.

Samara Private Game Reserve near Graaff-Reinet in the Eastern Cape will launch the Milky Way Star Bed Experience at the end of February.

The star bed provides guests with a romantic wilderness experience. The platform comprises a four-poster bed with draped mosquito net, a seating area overlooking the wildlife and river, a canvas roof to provide shelter in case of inclement weather, and bathroom facilities.

The reserve, in the Great Karoo with views of the Plains of Camdeboo, is home to 60 mammal species, including aardvark, cheetah, Cape Mountain zebra, giraffe, Black and White rhino, buffalo, eland and gemsbok.
