FlySafair expands Cape Town-Kruger network

FlySafair will launch thrice-weekly flights between Cape Town (CPT) and Hoedspruit (HDS) from October 2. The airline will also increase the frequency of its CPT to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (MQP) flight from thrice-weekly to daily from October 1.

The new route will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The flight timings are as follows:

  • CPT-HDS: 12h15-14h45
  • HDS-CPT: 15h20-18h05

“As part of our ongoing efforts to expand our network and improve domestic connectivity, we’re excited to introduce this new route,” said Kirby Gordon, Chief Marketing Officer at FlySafair. “Hoedspruit is a gateway to the Kruger National Park and surrounding private reserves, and we’re proud to offer travellers a more affordable and convenient way to reach this incredible region.”

Hoedspruit, located near central Kruger and bordering Limpopo, is surrounded by many of South Africa’s premier private game reserves. Mpumalanga's capital of Mbombela, home to MQP, also serves as a key entry point to the southern Kruger region.
