Hostelling International (HI) has confirmed that South Africa is one of its key focus areas for 2011.
In conjunction with local travel partner, Travel Concept Solution, HI is looking to treble its existing network of hostels in the country.
HI currently offers 12 hostels in South Africa, which it plans to grow to 40 within the next six months. Mikael Hansson, HI CEO, said: “We see South Africa as a country with a huge potential and we believe Travel Concept Solution can help us find the right hostels to include in our network.”
Hostelling International's current network of South African hostels includes famous and market-leading hostels in key cities like Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg and Port Elizabeth
