Southern African safari specialist, Island-Safari.com has closed its doors and ceased to trade. Nigel Garner, Owner of Island-Safari.com says he has advised all the company’s creditors and clients that it is unable to meet current demands for payment.
While Island-Safari.com is a SATSA member, the association’s bonding scheme cover is not available if the company puts itself into voluntary liquidation. SATSA CEO, Michael Tatalias, says it remains to be seen if SATSA’s bonding scheme will come into play in this situation. “However in the best interest of members, SATSA has already contacted the insurers, Guardrisk, and notified them of the situation and we awair their response.” .
